Subscription Plans

Overview

Subscription Plans are used to define resource limits for Providers and Customers within the Tektelic Network Server.

Each Provider must be assigned a Provider Subscription Plan. Additionally, every Customer must be assigned a Customer Subscription Plan by its Provider.

Provider Subscription Plan

A Provider Subscription Plan defines the maximum number of resources available to a Provider and all Customers under that Provider.

Parameters

Parameter Description
Maximum Allowed Gateways Maximum number of gateways that can be allocated within the Provider hierarchy.
Maximum Allowed Customers Maximum number of Customers that can be created under the Provider.
Maximum Allowed Applications Maximum number of applications that can be created within the Provider hierarchy.
Maximum Allowed Devices Maximum number of devices that can be created within the Provider hierarchy.
Maximum Allowed Integrations Maximum number of integrations that can be created within the Provider hierarchy.

Notes

  • All parameters are mandatory.
  • Each parameter can be configured with a numeric value or set to Unlimited.
  • The Provider Subscription Plan defines the maximum resources available to all Customers under the Provider.

Customer Subscription Plan

A Customer Subscription Plan defines the maximum number of resources available to a Customer.

Parameters

Parameter Description
Maximum Allowed Gateways Maximum number of gateways available to the Customer.
Maximum Allowed Sub-Customers Maximum number of Sub-Customers that can be created under the Customer.
Maximum Allowed Applications Maximum number of applications available to the Customer.
Maximum Allowed Devices Maximum number of devices available to the Customer.
Maximum Allowed Integrations Maximum number of integrations available to the Customer.

Notes

  • All parameters are mandatory.
  • Each parameter can be configured with a numeric value or set to Unlimited.
  • Customer Subscription Plans are assigned by the Provider.

Resource Allocation Rules

Resource allocation is strictly enforced across the Provider hierarchy.

The total number of resources assigned to all Customers under a Provider cannot exceed the limits defined in the Provider Subscription Plan.

Example

If a Provider Subscription Plan allows a maximum of 20 gateways, the total allocation across all Customers cannot exceed this limit.

Customer C 5
Total 20

If the limit is reached, any additional allocation requests will be rejected.
